(^ω^)V I have just returned from my holiday in Japan. It's autumn over there and the weather is really good. Throughout my week there, there was no rain and the temperature was between 15°C and 20°C. This is a very big contrast to Singapore's weather (between 28°C and 32°C). Argh.. I want to return to Japan!
This trip was an eventful trip. During my plane ride there, I managed to catch ROOKIES - 卒業. The movie was shown in Japan during June 2009 and the DVD will only be out in December 2009. I love the manga and the drama and I was really happy to be able to watch the movie.
In Japan, I visited 3 places - Osaka, Nara and Kyoto (all in Kansai).
Osaka has some great shopping places. I bought clothing, shoes and accessories. Of course, I also bought anime/manga merchandises from located in Umeda and some other anime/manga merchandises shop.
Here are the stuff I bought:
Hetalia Drama CD - Prologue 2 - The cover is so cute!
Gintama Jump Anime Tour 2008 & 2005 DVD - This was No. 1 on my buying list.
Gintama 2010 wall calendar - I couldn't bear to open it up yet!
Gintama 2010 Schedule book - the 5 guys on the cover made me buy this!
Gintama's famous quotes - I want to be inspired by the quotes! ^-^
Inoue Takehiko Illustrations - I've always wanted to buy it. It's much cheaper in Japan.
As for Nara, it's very well-known for its temples and deer. I visited the most famous temple in Nara - Tōdai-ji. During my walk from the train station to Tōdai-ji. I saw many deer (they are everywhere!).
Like Nara, Kyoto is well-known for its temples and shrines. I visited the beautiful Kiyomizu temple and along the way down the temple, I bought a few boxes of delicious Yatsuhashi (Japanese sweet pastry).
All in all, it's a great trip and I certainly hope to visit the other parts of Japan soon.
