Katekyō Hitman Reborn!

Katekyō Hitman Reborn! has finally ended. I know many fans are very upset but I was actually quite glad to hear the news. To be frank, I'm getting a little tired of the repetition nature of the series and I think that the end of the future arc is a good point to end the anime.

Plot: (7/10) – Fairly Good
When I first started watching Reborn!, I thought that it was a little childish but quite funny. Thankfully, Mukuro made his first appearance and the story became much more interesting. I personally like the Mukuro and Varia arcs the best. As for the Future arc, it seemed quite interesting initially but after a while, it started to get really draggy. The only reason why I managed to continue watching the Future arc despite the irritating Haru corner, is because there are Future Hibari, Future Dino, Primo Vongola Guardians and Gamma.

Frankly, I find the plot quite repetitive. Even though the setting for each arc is very different, the story is always the same - Tsuna and his Vongola Guardians must undergo training and get stronger. And even though they are middle school kids, they will always somehow manage to get strong enough to defeat their enemies. =.=

Characters: (9/10) – Very Good
This is one of those anime that I like the side characters much more than the main characters. In fact, I used to like Reborn but as the series continued on, I find his action too childish and his voice too irritating. As for Tsuna, I never like him. He's the type of character who I will never like no matter how powerful he becomes.

Another thing I notice about the characters in Reborn! is that they hardly undergo any character development. The series mostly focused on the Decimo Vongola Guardians but it mainly focused on their power/battle growth. I feel that most of the characters hardly mature despite all the obstacles they had to go through.

Here are some characters I like:

Dino ♥ - He's such a nice brother to Tsuna and nice tutor to Hibari.

Hibari ♥ - He's already very cool as a middle school student but he's many times cooler in the Future arc.

Colonello ♥ - He's my favorite arcobaleno! He looks so cute when he's a baby and so cool when he's an adult! I'm quite disappointed with the Arcobaleno arc as it only shows a little of him in his adult form. (v.v)

Mukuro - He's one of the more interesting characters.

Gokudera - I used to like him a lot but after a while his 'Juudaime' antics started to turn me off a little. But well, he still looks really cool.

Yamamoto - He looks cool wielding his katana.

Art/Animation: (7/10) – Fairly Good
The animation at the beginning was quite bad but it got much better over time. As for the art style, it's pretty normal in the anime. However, the manga art style is very different and I don't quite like it.

Music: (8/10) – Good
There are many themes throughout this 203 episodes series. Some are really nice and some are alright. I like more than half of the theme songs.

Enjoyment: (8/10) – Good
There were interesting and exciting times, and there were also boring moments. But well, for most parts of the series, the presence of my favorite characters was enough to keep me entertained.

Overall: (7/10) – Fairly Good
Reborn! has some very cool characters and pretty interesting battles but I feel that the story lacks depth. Though Reborn! is definitely not the best shounen series around, it's still worth a watch if you are thinking of watching a shounen anime.
