Skip Beat! Episode 5
Skip Beat! is a 50% chibi anime and I am enjoying it! ^^
I really love Kyoko's character. I love the fact that she's not the typical Shojo heroine. She's vengeful, funny, high-spirited and always day-dreaming!! :D
I also like Ren in this episode. He's very cool (much cooler than that Sho-taro! :P).
Episode 5
At the start of the episode, the President of LME gives Kyoko her 'Love Me' record book. This record book will record down the number of stamps she receives.
Kyoko is very optimistic about this opportunity and she starts day-dreaming about her successful revenge on Sho again. (haha..)
In order to show that she's a member of 'Love Me' section, she needs to wear a Bright Pink 'Love Me' uniform with 'Love Me' logos at the front and back -.-"
Kyoko's first job is to clean up the chewing gum-filled corridor.
She is obviously not happy doing it.. :P (who would?)
Screen: The hated one
While Kyoko is scrapping off chewing gums, we move on to Sho. He is at the lobby of a building waiting for his manager. Then he bumps into..
Tsugura Ren!
Sho's imagination runs wild and he starts day-dreaming about 'winning' Ren and becoming the next big thing! (seems like he likes to day-dream like Kyoko.. no wonder they are childhood friends..)
Sho deliberately kicks a dustbin to block Ren's pathway and apologizes insincerely.
Sparks fly!!
However, Ren manages to calm himself quickly and coolly tells Sho that it's alright. Ren also reminds him to clear up the mess.
Screen: A losing atmosphere
At that moment, Sho feels totally like a loser! (haha..)
Being a Type-B, Kyoko does her best in everything. She puts in her 100% in cleaning the corridor and the corridor is now sparkling smooth!!
It's so smooth that.. everyone is falling down!
As a result, she only gets 10 points for this job.
When Kyoko is despairing over her unfruitful first job at the staircase, Ruriko (an idol in LME) knocks into her.
Ruriko assigns Kyoko her second job - to follow Ruriko for her film shooting.
Midway through the bus ride, the bus breaks down.
Kyoko has to escort (and protect Ruriko from the UV rays) up the hill where the film shooting venue is. (I also want that umbrella!! I hate UV rays too!)
After less than 5 minutes of walk, Ruriko feels tired and poor Kyoko has to carry her up the hill.
However, Kyoko fractures her ankle and is not able to move (LOL!! Turtle..)
Ruriko decides to walk up on her own and promises to get someone down to save Kyoko. Of course, Ruriko, being spoiled and selfish, breaks her promise.
Kyoko is all alone in the middle of the hill. She suddenly feels helpless and recalls about how her beloved childhood friend, Sho leaves her. She also recalls how her mother left her when she was young.
At that moment of helplessness, she sees an outline of a man. Believing that hope has arrived, she looks up with anticipation but is greatly shocked to see Tsugura Ren!
Ren checks out her ankle.. (with a little too much force) and determines that she has fractured her bones.
He quickly carries her up to bring her back and this episode ends with Kyoko feeling shocked! (oh boy.. that's so sweet of Ren.. ^^)
