Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 Episode 2
Episode 2 is really good. It's way above my expectation!
Bones has done a great job so far! It has only been two episodes and I'm very impressed by the animation and the realism of the characters. I especially love the scene where Mirai was desperately looking for Yuuki. I can strongly feel how she felt when she was separated from her brother, and had no idea whether he was alive or not. This episode also introduces us to a new character, Kusakabe Mari. Though she did appear in the previous episode, it's only in this episode that she made a bigger impression (she saved Mirai from falling debris twice!). It's heartwarming to see Mari going all out to help out Mirai. This reminds me of the many touching stories that happened during the Sichuan Earthquake last year. It's such stories which make me believe that there are still compassionate and brave people around. Anyway, I feel really happy and relieved when Yuuki was finally found. Yuuki is such a sweet boy and I'm glad he's alive!
What's Hot?
Mirai desperately looks around for Yuuki. - Thank goodness, she's not as indifferent as she was in the previous episode. She's actually a caring sister.
Mari saves Mirai from falling debris. - Is Mari a stunt woman?
Mirai found Yuuki! -
Mari went off for a little while and promised to be back, but Mirai firmly believed that she would not return. To Mirai's surprise, Mari came back and she even brought along a cake, which was actually meant for her daughter. - It's nice to see Mari proving Mirai wrong. Hopefully, this makes Mirai trust adults a little more.
What's Not?
None! Great episode!
